A beautiful blend of Prolene and sable. The mix is critical and took time to perfect, but the result is remarkable. It looks and feels like sable; it bellies, holds colour and points as you would expect from a Pro-Arte brush.
Designed for use as a watercolour brush, it performs well in every way. Seamless nickel ferrules. Black polished handles with red and white tips.
I have been using these brushes for quite a number of years now, particularly the sizes 12 and 14 and they are a joy to use. They taper into an incredible point which means you can go from a thunderous wash into the most delicate stroke in seconds. I also use the Renaissance range but prefer these as they have a better point. They seem to be hard wearing too, provided you aren't digging dried in paint off the palette. Enjoy!
