Loxley Gold Chunky 100% Cotton Canvas - Triple primed
The Loxley Gold Chunky Stretched Canvas is becoming the modern choice with both Artists and Interior Designers alike. As well as portrait and landscape variations there is a range of square sizes available.
The Loxley Gold Chunky canvas is stretched over 38mm stretcher bars and fastened at the back, leaving the sides free of all fastenings.The timber used is from an FSC independently accredited company which is listed on the FSC website.

Loxely canvas panels
I buy all my canvas panels and acrylic paint from the art discount website at the moment and I always get my stuff very quickly. I love the chunky Loxley panels and have not found a better price anywhere!

Chunky but cuddly canvas!
I've used these box canvases for ages and always love painting my al hayball quirky cows on them!! The triple priming means no time wasted gessoing them yourself. See for your self :

Size matters
I have been using these canvases for a number of years now,and whilst I cannot fault the quality of the painting surface,or the reasonable cost,I am increasingly frustrated by the inaccurate sizing.Is it too much to expect a 24 x24 inch(or any other size for that matter) canvas to be exactly that.Now if my paintings were "one offs" such a thing would be unimportant;but they are not.Consisting of multi-panelled works,it is annoying when the sizes don't match.Buying a box of 5 is rather like buying a multi-pac of timber from Wickes.Of course I can't be sure I wouldn't have the same problem with more expensive canvases.So a score of 3 out of 5.

Good value but bad sizing
I've been using Loxley Gold for years and will continue to buy them as they do represent good VFM. However, I agreed with the other review about poor sizing particularly on the smaller sizes e.g. 5x5". I regularly discard 10-20% per box as they are either not square, or the frame creates a ridge on the front of the canvas. So whilst the majority of them are great, they have their flaws.
